A self-taught artist, Jennifer grew up in upstate New York. After earning a degree in veterinary medicine from Cornell University, life led her to the prairies of Kansas, where she now calls home. Art was Jennifer’s passion through childhood and high school, but having very practical parents, she was encouraged to view art as a hobby, not a career choice. Her journey into the world of needle felting, begun while a mother to small children, was a rediscovery of her passion for artistic creation and love of the human figure.
Jennifer’s sculptures draw inspiration from her own experiences and the stories of women everywhere. Through her work, she aims to challenge stereotypes, amplify voices, and spark conversations about gender equality and empowerment.
Jennifer finds needle felted wool to be the perfect medium for her sculptures. Her passion for sheep and wool runs deep, rooted in a lifelong appreciation of the natural world and the intricate fibers that connect us all.
